In 1999, Mike Boyle opened North Bay Mortgage, a company dedicated to personalized, one-on-one service and low cost. The company was named for its first location, which was on the shores of North Bay at Victor, Washington. As the company continued to grow, Mike moved to a larger office in Belfair, Washington to better serve his customers.

When Mike started his business, there were scores of other mortgage companies out there, so he immediately set out to make North Bay Mortgage the best. Soon the company was recognized regionally, and for the past 10 years, North Bay Mortgage has enjoyed a well-earned and well-known reputation, due to Mike’s dedication, knowledge of the industry and legendary ability to “make lending fun.”

Much of the fun is generated from the company’s philosophy to actively participate in the community and to give back by volunteering. In 2003, Mike was named North Mason Citizen of the Year. Then in 2005, North Bay Mortgage was honored as Business of the Year by the North Mason Chamber of Commerce. Mike and his staff were cited as true examples of leadership through community involvement. Over the years, Mike has served as president on numerous boards, worked to support local school and hospital issues, enjoyed membership in several local service clubs and been actively involved or in charge of a myriad of community events. 

In 2009, Mike formed a new association with Arnold & Smith Insurance, another long-time Mason County-based business. The two companies will soon share a Belfair office. The new association with Arnold & Smith brings North Bay Mortgage customers additional financial services under the same roof. Escape Winter Arizona, Mike’s latest business venture, came about when he bought his vacation home in Surprise, AZ. Now he shares his business and mortgage knowledge with other people like you – home buyers from Washington and other states who want to Escape Winter and come to sunny Arizona.
